TNA Wrestling Superstar Bobby Lashley has seemingly won every title TNA offered, baring ones given to women, and he very well could put on a dress to win that. Seen as TNA’s answer to WWE’s Brock Lesnar, Lashley has been in a major position with the company pretty much since he walked in. This has been huge for TNA as they also have a legitimate athlete that is also cross-promotional. Lashley currently competes as a heavyweight for Bellator MMA and many believe if UFC offered him a deal, he would take it.Read more after cut.....
“You know, I hear that all the time, and J.R., you know as well as I do, it’s not in my hands. If you ask me, I would say absolutely, but it’s the powers that be. I think that there’s enough fans who would love to see it. They’ve been saying it from day one. And you know what the funny thing about it is? I’ve never met Brock in person. Never crossed paths with Brock anywhere. So we don’t even know each other at all, whatsoever.”
“And I’ve always been compared to Brock, and they say ‘Are you and Brock gonna fight? Are you and Brock gonna wrestle? I don’t know if the fighting is still an opportunity with me being in Bellator and him kind of being with the UFC; or I don’t know what the situation is right now. So I don’t know if the fight thing is possible, but to see me as Brock’s destroying everyone and save the day, or vice versa, whatever the case is, have us stand face to face? I think the crowd would go insane. And there’s a tremendous amount of money in it. If it were to happen, then I’m open for it.”
This is interesting to hear from Bobby Lashley for sure. This is really the first time he has openly mentioned he would want to go to WWE and wrestle anyone really, regardless of who. Lashley left on somewhat okay terms, so it is not as if he cannot return. Plus Bobby doesn’t openly bash WWE all the time like some TNA people have done since leaving the WWE. Having a match with anyone would be good for Lashley, but Brock Lesnar and possibly at WrestleMania? You can print money with that idea.
This is also a good business move for Lashley if nothing else. Bobby has no idea what will happen in this TNA sale upcoming. The company could very well stay open and Billy Corgan could own it. However, that is unknown at this time. Even if Corgan did manage to gain ownership, could he really manage to keep the company alive financially for years to come? Eventually, contracts will be something he has to cut or at least bring down. Bobby Lashley certainly doesn’t want to lose money here.
Many believe WWE will end up owning the TNA promotion, and if they do they will really want to get the library ready to go as soon as possible. However, contracts are also things that would transfer to WWE. They would most likely keep a few people but some. They may even simply sign talent to another WWE contract rather than keep them in the TNA one they arrived in them
