Ali Ahmed,12, from Egypt has been viewed almost 1.4million times on YouTube as he captures spirit of unrest in the most educated way possible.
Interviewed by TV station El Wady News, Ahmed denounces Muhammed Mursi’s ousted government as a ‘fascist theocracy’.
“We didn’t get rid of a military regime to replace it with a fascist theocracy”, he said.
The interviewer was very impressed adding that she is not sure what a ‘fascist theocracy’ is herself, and Ahmed helps her out: ‘Fascist theocracy is when you manipulate religion and enforce extremist regulations in the name of religion’. She then asked him where he learnt about such things.
“I just know it, I listen to people a lot and use my brain. I read newspapers, watch TV and search on the internet.” he said.
“All of this [political process] is void, because the parliament in the first place is void”.
The interview took place a while back but went viral recently among protesters in Egypt and has over a million views.
